SOUTHWEST TRAVEL DIARY
I've been dreaming of road-tripping across the USA with my boyfriend for years. Last year to celebrate our anniversary, we finally explored the beautiful American Southwest. We didn't really have a chance to plan out our itinerary because it was an extremely busy month prior to this vacation with back-to-back shoots and creative projects. Thankfully for road trips, you don't really need a strict itinerary. We didn't have any hotels booked when we headed East from our home in Santa Monica towards our bookmarked destinations in Arizona, Utah and New Mexico. This trip was an adventure and a lesson in not planing every moment and just going with the flow. When I tried controlling the itinerary the first few days on this trip, nothing went according to plan. So I finally surrendered without planning every moment. Driving through the Southwest and experiencing the beauty of the vast desert landscapes was a beautiful opportunity to practice more presence. As promised, I'm finally sharing the list of places we visited to inspire adventure and appreciate for the beauty of the American Southwest.
