2021 Intentions
It’s common practice during this time to set intentions, goals, and resolutions for the year. I’ve done my fair share of intention setting ceremonies, outlining my annual/quarterly/monthly goals, and vision boarding what I want to manifest in life.
I think it’s fair to say 2020 taught us that plans shift, goals change, and expectations can be met with deep disappointment or unexpected detour to joy and gratitude.
I took a look back at goals I’ve had spanning back 5+ years that have yet to manifest. It’s a very humbling thing having sky high expectations for your health, career, finance, and personal self development. Learning again and again that we cannot control outcomes even if we put in A LOT of effort and hard work.
In our modern time where there are millions of options and seemingly all the answers at our fingertips (👋🏽 google and the internet👩🏻💻) it’s so common to still feel unclear.
- How do we navigate from all the noise?
- How do we move through the unknown?
- How do we cultivate clarity and more creativity?
Even with all the googling, all the courses/workshops/degrees completed, and the investment of time/money/energy, cultivating clarity starts by recognizing what’s blocking you.
I’ve realized that the 3 Common Blocks to Clarity & Creativity:
1. Looking outside yourself
2. Not creating space
3. Fear & Overthinking
The most potent tool and skill I’ve used to navigate lack of clarity and creativity is mindfulness - being aware of my moment to moment experiences through a lens of curiosity and compassion.
Our ability to be mindful allows us to look inward to create space for clarity. Clarity is essentially a practice of going from not knowing to trusting that we’re on the path and deserve joy, connection, & compassion.
We all have the ability to create and cultivate the feelings and experience we want to have. I am excited to share the practices that has supported me and hold the space to support you in cultivating conscious clarity.
